Highlights of our Week...

Our school has a blue roof and a white structure. The building next to it is grey and white and has two storeys. You may be able to see it between the two trees!

Next to the school court is a Marae.A Marae is a building that Maori people celebrate Maori special occasions.

Here is our school courtyard where we play at lunch and interval. Also we have a playground where there is a slide, climbing frame, flying fox and a bar to play on.

This is the sports shed where we keep all our sports equipment.Every lunchtime, people come and take sports gear out to play with and enjoy. At the end of lunchtime everyone has to return all of the sports gear.
This is the door to all of the primary school as well as the picnic tables that we eat our tasty lunch on! :)

This is our class getting ready to go swimming! The people that can't go swimming have to go to a different class to do work.(Usually they go to the year 3 and 4 class.)

This is the outside of the aquatic centre.

This is the building which we go swimming in.We don't have a swimming pool at our school, so we have to travel about five minutes to the aquatic centre which is a huge pool where anybody can swim if they pay!

This is the pool that we do our lessons in.
This is the year five's swimming instructor getting them ready for thier lessons!
I bet the year sixes are just waiting to jump into that big fun pool!

I was right! They are jumping into that pool!

                                                                                    Here are the year sixes.
The van is getting ready to leave.
And here are the year fives!

  1. Dear CRS Room 2,

We really enjoyed finding out about what you do at school during the week. It was really interesting that you have to wear blue hats during recess time. Mrs. Hubbard explained to us that the sun is very strong in NZ and Australia and that is why you have to wear hats outside. We don't have to worry about that here in South Korea. We now understand that you learn Maori and at our school we have Korean language classes. It was cool to see you singing in class, we love to sing at Chapel! We are excited to skype you again next week.

Thank you Dania and Mykah for explaining your week so well to us. Great job!

    See you then,

    Grade 4H Waka Adventures

  2. Thank you Grade 4H Waka Adventures, do you sing in Chapel too? That was a photo of our Chapel time. In Chapel, after worship we sometimes pray for each other or for any needs that families of our class have. Then we have a story, either from a picture book, or a movie that brings out a message God has for us. Other times Mrs Yuhayco tells us where to turn in our Bibles and we have a turn to read out loud. God speaks to us so clearly - and His words for us are more up to date and encouraging than the daily newspaper! Thank you for reading our blog!
